Interior Design Projects

We helped with the interior design of the newly built home. We then added some natural and organic decor pieces that helped compliment the incredible island top. We carried the "natural" them from the kitchen to the pantry, laundry room and even a bathroom!
Thanks to Canadian Butcher Block for the island top and CFC Pix for the amazing shots!

We transformed a standard subdivision home into a serene and welcoming space to relax or entertain! We changed the sitting room back into a dining room and had a custom wall unit built. The kitchen was customized by building a bulkhead over the cabinets and adding crown molding. The cabinets were painted, new counter tops and back splash were installed to complete the look. A custom island was made a painted a light grey/blue. New lighting was added to both the kitchen and dining room.

"Highly recommend Nancy and her team at Birchview. She was instrumental in pulling together plumber, painter, electrician, cabinet maker, drywaller and flooring to take my dated and drab kitchen to modern, bright and beautiful! With so many design choices at the tips of our fingers, Nancy is there to guide and educated throughout the process. Many thanks to Nancy and her team. "

Our client was looking for a getaway on the lake where he could step out of the city to enjoy nature, without sacrificing any of the comforts of a stylish home. With this in mind, the team set out to create a design with stunning modern elements, while still paying homage to the natural surroundings.

Upon entry to the custom home, you are welcomed not only by the spectacular view, but also the striking kitchen. With crisp white high-gloss upper cabinets, and charcoal wood grain lower cabinets, this two-toned kitchen is a perfect example of the elevated blend of modern and cottage in the overall design. The open concept of the kitchen, with a large island (complete with seating under a quartz waterfall edge) warmly welcomes guests to enjoy the company of the chef, and a view of the sunset while the evening’s meal is prepared. The bathrooms, with modern matte black and chrome finishes are paired perfectly with custom vanities and streamlined accessories. The porcelain tiles for the flooring and walls were selected for their unique shapes and textures, and the hardwood flooring throughout is a moderately distressed white oak, with warm undertones and hints of white and charcoal in the matte finish. The paint pallet is white, with accents of charcoal and black, creating a stunning backdrop for organic accents such as wood, stone, and galvanized metal.

This custom cottage is a vibrant example of how modern design can be curated to complement a cottage lifestyle.

Check out this new build we are working on with Discovery Dream Homes! Things are really coming together and taking shape. One of our favorite aspects of this stunning custom design is the bunkie. This building offers the most beautiful view of the lake, and will be a perfect addition to the cottage. We have shown a little sneak peek into our design thoughts! Watch for more pictures coming soon!!!

We contacted Birchview Design for our rec room rennovation. We had never used an Interior Design firm before, so we were very uncertain of the process. Nancy and her team were professional and extremely transparent when it came to costs and timelines. The line of communication was always open and (because of that) it was very easy for us to let go and trust them.

Our drab, unused rec room is now a fabulous bar, lounge and office space with amazing custom cabinetry and a fireplace feature wall- and all of it was because of the expert design team at Birchview Design.

We highly recommend that anyone considering an interior designer, contact Nancy. We will be using Birchview Design again for our future rennovations!
